lyrics
Quiet minds will run the gauntlet
While smaller men get forced to bend
The wind it stirs, still we all taunt it
Let it go and then you'll know
At turns, you feel alive
It churns, your guts untie
So free, the feeling's right
Inside the lake of light
Wading out the water's shining
There's nothing for you on the shore
Your body hurts cuz you're still pining
The zephyr blows and now you know
Let it go and freely flow
At turns, you feel alive
It churns, your guts untie
So free, the feeling's right
I heave a heavy sigh
You steal yourself to lie
Inside the lake of light

US Stoner Doom / Rock. This singer has such a raspy voice it is addictive! Plus the grooves & beats are just out of this world! Slow & easy... :) Sometimes I need that! Thanks GHB! Highly recommended! bmurator
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
Two new songs from the Nashville musician (and drummer in Sad Baxter) reveal a talent for rock hooks and anthemic power pop aesthetics. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 11, 2022
If it's trippy spaced out psyche you want. This band has that in abundance.
Sounds like a cross between, LOOP, Wooden Shjips at their heaviest, Spacemen 3 at their trippy-est and Hawkwind at their trance-iest, with a hefty sprinkling of J&MC. Also has a great goth vibe about it.
What a fine Band. jazzberto
